What is the X Factor?  If you&#8217;ve read many of my posts, you won&#8217;t be surprised: it&#8217;s all about mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The X Factor is the <em>drive<\/em> and <em>unstoppable determination<\/em> to accomplish your goals in the gym.  It&#8217;s the part of you that is willing to do whatever it takes to get better.  You have to decide that you <em>will<\/em> accomplish whatever you have set as your training priorities, and any setbacks are only temporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert;\">When you encounter obstacles<\/span>, t<span style=\"font-size: revert;\">he X Factor is the voice in your head that says &#8220;<em>I&#8217;m doing it anyway<\/em>&#8220;.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without it, you&#8217;ll end up at the same place as everybody else, and if you&#8217;re reading my blog, I know that&#8217;s not you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The X Factor is the voice in your head that says &#8220;I&#8217;m doing it anyway&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Didn&#8217;t sleep well?  <em>I&#8217;m training anyway.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schedule seems full? <em> I&#8217;m training anyway.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feeling exhausted?  <em>I&#8217;m training anyway.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a bad week at work?  <em>I&#8217;m training anyway.<\/em>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Girlfriend broke up with you?  <em>I&#8217;m training anyway.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The X Factor is the willingness to endure temporary discomfort in order to reach your long term goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not about just <em>wanting<\/em> it.  Everybody wants to look and feel better!  You have to <em>take<\/em> it and be willing to sacrifice other things in your life in pursuit of your goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s an old-school mentality, and it&#8217;s not very popular in today&#8217;s soft society.  That&#8217;s a big part of why most people are so unhealthy and out of shape.
